I've shot this hotel twice. The first shot was in October 2009, and the second shot was in October of this year. The hotel impressed me very much. Its architectural complex combined with Yangshuo's mountains and rivers has become a very delicate overall relationship. Yangshuo Resort Hotel is an expression of the harmonious and symbiotic architectural concept.
The design of the Yangshuo Resort Hotel building draws on the folk traditional architectural forms in the northern part of Guangxi Province, especially the Dong ethnic village buildings. We can see that the interior design and the exterior design of the hotel lobby all have the architectural features of the Dong Drum Tower buildings, especially in the lobby In the middle, you can also see a handmade copper drum.
The ceiling over the hotel lobby is very wide and superb, and even a fisheye angle of 180 degrees can not completely cover it. I used a Canon 17mm tilt-shift lens and took 12 shots in parallel, splicing them together to get a full view of the ceiling.
From inside to outside, I walked around the Yangshuo Resort Hotel repeatedly to find the best viewing angle. I went to the other side of the river and watched the relationship between the natural environment and the hotel from a distance. I walked to the next bridge and found the hotel fully integrated into the green trees, will not affect the tourists to view the landscape. I even climbed to the side of the stone mountain, through the weeds and thorns, overlooking the hotel from a height. In the evening, I checked the track of the gps record and found that I have been walking more than 12km.
